Overview:
Stirling Dynamics GmbH is recruiting a Sales Manager to join their team in Hamburg, Germany.

We are looking to recruit a Sales Manager within the aviation sector to join us to support our sales and business development activities for our cabin interior products and services. The position is linked to our EASA Part21J organization and related product development in both established and emerging markets worldwide. The candidate should ideally have business development acumen and an entrepreneurial attitude towards sales. They will need to proactively act and be able to ideentify client needs in advance of the formal tendering process, develop sales campaigns, and support the construction of compelling proposals.
This role will be based in our Hamburg office with travel to our clients’ sites as required however as part of our commitment to flexible working, employees are able to work remotely.
Responsibilities:

  • Identification of new market opportunities and profiling of customer needs, from which to develop new sales campaigns and value propositions.
  • Through new and ongoing relationship building, keeping abreast of current trends within the aviation environment, including, new aircraft development, aircraft modifications, aircraft systems and disruptive manufacturing technologies.
  • Responsibility for lead generation and capture planning.
  • Support the solution creation, proposal writing and contract negotiations.
  • Creation of sales presentation material.
  • Winning sales orders to support ambitious growth plans and growing / managing an effective pipeline of business opportunities.
  • Developing and maintaining key account plans for established clients and capture plans for new clients.
  • Maintaining up-to-date account, campaign and opportunity information and status in SalesForce as our chosen CRM system.
  • Seeking and understanding competitors’ offerings in the market segment; their technologies, and assessment of their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Produce regular reports and business updates as requested.
  • Supporting the promotion of the Stirling Dynamics brand through digital means (website and social media) and attending and/or exhibiting at key industry events.


Organizational Structure:

  • Work within and contribute to a project-oriented matrix organisation comprising of cross-functional teams made up of business managers, marketing professionals, project managers and engineers allocated to specific bids and projects.
  • The Sales Manager will work closely with their counterparts within Stirling Dynamics UK to jointly manage common client account plans and develop joint offerings.
Skills:
  • Skills in MS Office products.
  • English speaking, German would be an advantage, any other language is welcome.

Desired Skills:
  • Sales / business development experience/understanding in an aviation engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of the international cabin retrofit market covering customers/competitors, market segment values, new platform developments, technology providers and data driven business models.
  • Knowledge and experience in using CRM systems, preferably SalesForce.
  • Skills and experience in creating proposals and sales presentations.
